It's getting a bit colder now that we are in autumn but I have a stack of over-ripe and frozen bananas to use up. You too? Try this blackcurrant nicecream - no nasties, no sugar, THREE ingredients!
This recipe is so simple to make but super delicious and healthy. It can also easily be made vegan using plant-based dairy products! It's that easy and goes great as a dessert, breakfast idea or a refreshing afternoon pick-me-up.
Did you know that blackcurrants have also recently been shown to regulate blood sugar levels after meals? The study used a similar recipe to this nice cream for the treatment group! Maybe this is the perfect option for you to beat the afternoon slump.
- 2 ripe, then frozen bananas, sliced up.
- 1 cup of Frozen ViBERi Organic Blackcurrants OR 10-20gm of our organic blackcurrant powder.
- Use up to 1/4 cup milk or plain yoghurt as desired for blending.
Put all ingredients in your blender or bullet until smooth. If your blender tends to heat up when being used, keep an eye on it so that if doesn't melt too much!
